Emerge London
Emerge London was a new pilot project, led by CIDA, with design and technology from Intaract New Media. The pilot ran from September 2005 till March 2006, and aimed to help minority-led (including BME, women and disabled) creative businesses and artists in London to embrace innovation and take advantage of the download revolution.Up
to 30 minority-led creative
businesses and artists from across London, producing work such as
music, film, images or literature were selected to take part in the pilot.
Throughout
the programme, participants had the opportunity to take part in five workshops focused on
Innovation & Creativity, giving them skills to network confidently,
develop their businesses and innovative products and exploit the
intellectual property of their creative work.
Supported
along the way with expert one-to-one advice and business support from
CIDA's specialist creative industries advisers, participants gained
first-hand experience of this innovative means of distribution, and
skills to take advantage of it!
