Fusion East

October 2004 - December 2006

Fusion East was a major arts and events programme which celebrated and strengthened the extraordinary artistic and cultural diversity found in East London. An innovative and dynamic range of art forms were showcased throughout the 2 years with the aim of providing a legacy of partnership and cultural ties between Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham. This included a comprehensive programme of capacity-building activities for the local arts and cultural sector through the provision of one-to-one advice support, training, and networking and joint partnership opportunities through the development of sector specific clusters.

The Fusion East capacity-building programme provided direct support to a wide range of artists and arts organisations across in the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham. These included community-based arts groups, arts organisations, cultural venues and those producing larger scale cultural events and activities.
