What is the Hackney Capacity Building Arts Programme?Hackney Capacity-Building Arts Programme is a project developed in partnership with Hackney's Cultural Development Team with the aim of raising capacity and increasing opportunities for new and established arts and cultural organisations in Hackney. It aims to support the development of a robust arts sector in the borough through the provision of one-to-one business support, targeted development training, and networking opportunities.

The Hackney Capacity Building Arts Programme supports artists, community arts groups, and emerging as well as established arts and cultural organisations in Hackney.
What support does it offer?
Hackney Capacity Building Arts Programme provides advice and support on setting up and managing an organisation, funding and fundraising, project development, and marketing & audience development. This includes access to one-to-one support by a CIDA specialist adviser, worshops led by leading experts in the UK, and a one-off small development grants programme.
Tamara Pekelman, CIDA's Senior Project Manager & Adviser, works with arts organisations and cultural community groups to identify their needs and develop an appropriate programme of support incorporating one-to-one advice sessions, training workshops, and relevant networking opportunities.
