Tower Hamlets Creative Network Partnership
The
project is designed to increase the quality and number of skilled people
engaged in the creative industries in Tower Hamlets, to establish and
facilitate a partnership of training providers in Tower Hamlets and support
them by levering in resources to match partners contributions, to deliver time limited
series' of training programmes targeting three training areas - higher skills,
workforce development and BME skills.
The Tower Hamlets Creative Network Partnership (THCNP) brings together creative industries (CI) training providers, development organisations and HE institutions to deliver a tailored training programme for Tower Hamlets CI SMEs and individuals in the area of higher-level skills and work-based learning. The THCNP runs to December 2004 and delivers and co-ordinates training for beneficiaries, focusing particularly on Black and Minority Ethnic groups.
The
THCNP provides Tower Hamlets creative industries employees, micro businesses
and SMEs with workforce development and higher-level skills that meet the
demands of employers and enables creative businesses to cope with economic
change. By promoting growth and inclusion THCNP adds value to and develops
local creative and social economies and creates new opportunities for local
residents. By targeting BME, women and disabled creative businesses, developing
entrepreneurial skills and competences THCNP ensures that training and
development impacts upon those most in need.
