The day began with a speech by Frances Brindle, then our ever-poplular panel, Creative Entrepreneurship followed by three breakout sessions:

Breakout 1. Tech City, Creative Industries and the Olympic hangover. (Chair TBC) “Chasing white elephants in the Olympic Park” What role can the creative and cultural industries play in fashioning a vibrant legacy of the Games and who should we be talking to?

Breakout 2. Are networks greater than the sum of their lists? Chaired by Nancy Groves – The Guardian Cultural Professionals Network “Networks shout louder but who’s listening?” Can we improve the way networks support the creative industries? Creative Commons network anyone?

Breakout 3. The emerging funding landscape for creative industry start-ups in a post crash universe. Chaired by Mary-Alice Stack – Artco (Arts Council England) “Stop I wanna get on!” The creative and cultural money-go-round spins ever faster. What are the emerging options for creative and cultural businesses and the agencies that support them?

The second panel of the day was Creative Question Time, where the delegates got their chance to quiz our panel on any subject of their choice. Our Keynote Speech came from Ed Vaizey MP (Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries) at the end of the day.
